Lauretta opens Winds of Change with a request for prayer for Jimmie Lei, listener, Dave and for peace in Israel.

Lauretta discusses the tragic murder of Loyola student; Sheridan Gorman killed at the hands of an illegal alien not detained because of “sanctuary” dictates as well as the senseless murder of Katie Abraham.

Lauretta unpacks the significance and customs of every day during Holy week.

She further discusses the actions of tone-deaf Brandon Johnson and J.B Pritzker and asks for prayer for their conversion.

Father Anthony with Cristina and Tony are joined by Alice Babij (Bobby).  Father welcomes us and mentions that the readings are becoming more intense as we approach the Tridium.  He speaks regarding the readings, unpacking them and offering a look into their significance as we prepare for the Messianic Hour. After a break, Father turns things over to Alice to tell us about the book, “The Seven Last Words of Christ” by Monsignor James Turro and Fr. Scott Haynes.  In this two-part series, Alice opens the series by introducing the book.  The meditations and reflections of this book hope to prepare the soul for deeper contemplation offering a path into Christ’s heart at the time of his sacrifice of all, for us. Father Anthony with Tony and Cristina gather to discuss the goings on, and people in the Parish, chatting briefly about how fast time flies as Holy Week will be upon us soon.  Father focuses today on speaking about the Theophany in the Eucharist and distinguishes between Theophany and Christophany.  After referencing the I Am gospel, the gospel of John, he goes on to discuss this past Sundays gospel; the raising of Lazarus.

Father Koys is still on sabbatical and is staying with his sister Mary Lou in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee.

Father explores good and bad signs on how we interpret them.

Father further explores the concept of guardrails. Ideally when we make a commitment, say in a committed relationship the contemporary thought is that marriage is not necessary. Because of concupiscence with no guardrail such as the confines of the Sacrament of Matrimony, there may be fertile ground for temptation. Living together within guardrails of the Sacrament of Matrimony the maintenance of a loving relationship is greatly assured.

Guardrails such as the 10 Commandments are necessary for society to function as God provides them for us to have a true faith.

Lauretta has as her special guest, former Winds of Change co-host, Mary Fiorito.  Mary talks about attending the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast which was held on March 18^th and 19^th, 2026 in Washington D.C. contributing to America’s celebration of its 250^th Anniversary. Mary and Lauretta highlight the many and varied speakers and their contributions.

Margaret Brennan of CBS News mockery of Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth’s request for prayer for our troops was discussed by Lauretta and Mary.

Mary and Lauretta talk about the tragic murder of Loya student, Sheridan Gorman who was allegedly shot and killed by illegal alien, Jose Medina, Thursday at Tobey Prinz Beach.

ICE lodges arrest detainer against the suspect who has one felony count of attempted 1^st degree murder, three counts of aggravated assault by discharge of a firearm and one felony count of aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon. ICE has requested this Venezuelan migrant not be released so that he may be taken into custody.

Mary comments on Clair Lei’s update about her father, Jimmie Lei at the prayer breakfast. We ask for prayer for entrepreneur and journalist, Jimmie Lei imprisoned by the Communist Chinese for reporting actual events in Hong Kong.

Father Anthony with Tony and Cristina gather to discuss the goings on, and people in the Parish. Father just stepped away from a funeral and he speaks of the grief and the “desire for baptism” in the absence of baptism and the light of God’s world.  Father talks of various saints and their approach to relaxing-letting go. The group spend the time reminiscing about their experiences over the years as the conversation leads them in different tangents, leading the group to feel like today, they are just all over the place.

Father Anthony with Cristina and Tony are joined by Alice Babij (Bobby).  Father welcomes us, today is the Feast of St. Joseph.  Father leads us in prayer and afterwards reads and unpacks the gospel reading for today.  He then defers to his guest, Alice who today shares from the book “Love Written in Flesh and Blood” by Fr. Scott Haynes.  In the book, Fr. Haynes leads us in mediation of the Passion of Christ via the medical insight of French Surgeon Pierre Barbet. The book leads us to confront the physical reality of what Jesus suffered through the scourging, crucifixion and the piercing of his side. In the reflections, were meant to be led to an awakening in realization of the cost of Jesus’ sacrifice for us.  Jesus’ sacrificial love for us was truly written in flesh and blood.  The book is available at priestleypress.com.

Lauretta hosts the program today and shares that today is the Feast of Our Mother of Sorrow and that Pope Leo XIV celebrated his 70^th Birthday yesterday.  After speaking to the happenings over the last week, she welcomes her guest host Joyce Duriga, Editor of the Chicago Catholic, the official newspaper of the Archdiocese of Chicago.  In this episode as cohosts, they discuss events happening around the Archdiocese. Joyce chats about a writers retreat that she attended and then shares details/connections to the Canonization of Carlo Acutis and Pier Giorgio Frassati which were canonized this month.  There’s hope that these young saints can inspire the youth. Lauretta renews her invitation to seek out Encounter Ministry to renew, revive and grow in your relationship with Jesus. Father Anthony with Cristina and Tony are joined by Alice Babij (Bobby).  Father welcomes us and mentions the positive feedback he’s received regarding the student’s reverent behavior when they attend Church events at other Churches, the effect of the school’s core teachings in Catholicism. After Prayer, Alice returns today to share the book, “The Three Marys at the Foot of the Cross” by Fr. Scott Haynes.  In the book, Fr. Haynes invites women to walk spiritually to Calgary alongside these women.  In the reflections we come to see that feminine love, when tested by suffering, is one of the strongest loves found. We see through scripture, that these women demonstrated fidelity, sacrifice and hope.  Their example shows that when Love remains-God is nearby. The book is available at priestleypress.com.

Father Anthony with Tony and Cristina gather to discuss the goings on, and people in the Parish, chatting briefly about the weather.  Father focuses today on speaking about the Church (Big C) explaining that Catholic is not a denomination, it is the Church.  They chat about the differences within our society and how it impacts parishioners, church attendance, church tradition, and society overall.  They discuss the need to remain true to Catholicism despite all the challenges faced with today and keep the Church as a reverent and holy place.
