Father Anthony with Tony, and Cristina gather to discuss the goings on, and people in the Parish. Father Anthony leads us in much needed prayer to open the show.  Afterward he welcomes back Alice Babij (pronounced Bobby) of the St Nicholas Ukrainian Cathedral.  She joins Father to shares the eucharistic miracles from the book “My Highway to Heaven” by Rev Scott Haynes, which includes the eucharistic miracles compiled by Carlo Acutis. Welcome to a Brain Wrinkling Wednesday with Fr. Tom Koys.  Today Father Koys reads a meditation by Fr. Ronald Knox: “A Retreat for Lay People”.  The meditation focuses on facing death-facing fears about death.  Is it ok for people of faith to fear death? He also shares a clip from Guy Gruder, Viet Nam Veteran at the Catholics for Catholics event in Florida about his experiences as a prisoner.

Father Anthony returns to the podcast this week. Along with Cristina and Tony they catch up and Father discuss that the mass is a theophany and chats about the difference between a theophany and an epiphany.  Father talks about our focus being removed from what it should be and we have to return our focus where it needs to be, on God.  Father mentions and shares detail on the Miracle of the Sun.  He briefly touches on the Anglican Church and returns his focus to the importance of choosing God regardless of circumstances reminding us that God laid His life for us and desires that we choose Him.

Lauretta marvels at the beautiful day in Chicago.  She thanks all the Prayer Warriors and adds additional requests for prayer to their list.  Lauretta chats about multiple events and observances that take place in October.  Lauretta then welcomes her guests, Renata and Chris Kaczor to speak about Father John Baptist Bashobora. Father Bashobora heads the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Mbarara Archdiocese, where he has become renowned for extra ordinary acts such as miracle crusades. Father Anthony with Tony, and Cristina gather to discuss the goings on, and people in the Parish.  Today Father opens the show sharing sadness over the priest who took his life, which leads the group to chat about priestly life and the many demands and challenges, especially with the changing times where there are much less priests available.  Father shares about his challenges day to day and transitions to how every person has challenges, there is no escaping and we need to figure out how to face it.  We need to remove focus on self and help others; it is in helping others that we offer healing to them and heal ourselves in the process. In praying and serving others we find healing!

Tom Koys.  Today Father attempts to weave humor into theology after seeing the Broken Mary movie, the Kevin Matthews story.  He shares jokes and stories to draw attention to how we can view situations/issues in society today.  He goes on to use theology and philosophy and the musical Les Miserables to show a perspective on the immigration and deportation issues of today.  He closes the podcast with a breakdown on his approach to the immigration and deportation our country is currently facing.

Father Anthony leads us in daily prayer as well as offering prayers for the repose of the soul of Pope Francis as well as for the College of Cardinals and the Conclave.  The Conclave to select the 267^Th Successor to the Chair of Peter is set to begin tomorrow, May 7^th.  Today, Father Anthony addresses a question posed to him “Why do we pray if God already selected the next Pope?” He begins by discussing the importance and the inner workings of prayer and the Holy Spirit.
