TGIF loyal listeners and Lauretta Froelich is filling in for Father Anthony as he returns from Rochester. Today, Lauretta is very happy and excited to have on as a guest, Pastor and Commissioner Herman Martir, from the President’s Advisory on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, who has done work under Presidents Trump and now Biden. He explains how long he’s been a pastor, as well as a commissioner, and all the work that he has done to help out so many people for various ethnic groups. He also offers his skills as a pastor to provide words of encouragement and hope to all that are struggling and going through stressful times, especially the war in Ukraine. It’s Saint Patrick’s Day everyone and hope you all are doing good and enjoying this day. On the show, we welcome back Dave Carollo, the Executive Director of Our Lady of Fatima and he is very thrilled to be the host filling in for Father Anthony. He shares some of the history behind Saint Patrick himself. Today, he has a good one for you, for he shares articles and information claiming that the CDC and FDA has been or is withholding information regarding the safety and effectiveness of the Covid-19 vaccines, causing many to think about scientific fraud and misinformation about the vaccines for all ages, including for children who have recently been able to be vaccinated. Later on, he discusses believers and non-believers in God and the faith.

The Two Tony’s are back this week and they are feeling pretty good, despite being tired sometimes (LOL). But seriously, they discuss more on the work that Father Anthony has to do and how God can make it stressful at times with so much work to do, but helps us get through things. With all that in mind, they express how we have to be alert at times and that when we get tired and your mind gets tired, you have to go on. They also reflect on the readings and the masses from Sunday, pointing out to deepen our faith in the Life of Christ.

TGIF and the Two Tony’s, after the opening prayer, continue to discuss their own experiences with going through Lent this year. From this, they examine some of the many points around Lent, including fasting when it comes to things in the Season of Lent during the 40 days and 40 nights. With fasting in mind, the Two Tony’s raise the question and idea about why God has bad things happen and why would God allow these things to happen, which leads to talk about God’s anger and God’s love.

On this Thursday, we join the Two Tony’s once again and this time they have much to discuss. This time, not focused on Tony as on Tuesday (LOL) but on the apocalyptic times we live in these days, especially with the war in Ukraine continuing and the Pandemic. After prayer, they discuss all that is happening with Russia and Ukraine, as well as all the violence and “war” in our lives, in marriages, crime, and other areas of violence, relating “war” to the stress in our lives. This brings to mind how everyone is nervous about WW III possibly rising and Father Anthony quotes some of the Book of Revelations here. This again raises the question of why would God allow all this to happen and another, with it not being God, but people, to raise the question of believing in God.

Father Koys is back with us and he has much to discuss. For one thing, how the world is reaching to getting out of the pandemic, with how several areas of Chicago and Illinois, as well as other states, have lifted the mask mandates due to cases and hospitalizations going down, but he reminds us that there are some who are still nervous and to be respectful to their choice of keeping the mask on for the time being. He also discusses the recent zoom meeting Pope Francis had with students from Loyola University. From this, it reflects on all that is going on in the world, not just the Pandemic and the war in Ukraine.

Tony shares his side of the story to defend himself LOL, but still all in fun and all good. After all that fun, the Two Tony’s discuss more on all that is happening in the world: the war in Ukraine, the Pandemic, and other things, offering prayers and thoughts for all that is going on. From this, Father Anthony reminds us that the world will have problems and stress and trouble, but we must continue to have hope, pray for peace, and continue to have faith in God and that He will help us and continue to pray.
