Kathy began working at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago more than 40 years ago, as a part-time flex worker providing administrative support in various departments. She has been helping individuals and families flourish ever since! From social worker to Vice President of Programs to Acting CEO, Kathy exemplified both humble service and stalwart leadership. Kathy recently retired after many years of faithful leadership. She talks with Lauretta today about Catholic Charities, the services it provides and how she moved to acting CEO. TGIF loyal listeners as the Two Tony’s are very excited for all the Feast Days that have passed and are coming up for this week. They have much to discuss for these significant days and they are very excited with the Supreme Court’s decision to overrule and overturn the Roe V. Wade case, some really good news and the resulting vote 6 to 3, a momentous day in history. This leads toward a more political discussion about what is going on in government.

Today the Two Tony’s are excited to celebrate the Feast Day of Saint John the Baptist, leading nin to the Feast Day of the Nativity. Father Anthony explains the history of Saint John the Baptist and shares the significance of this particular Feast Day. They also discuss the mothers of both Saint John and Jesus Himself, two great men from two great women. This turns toward what is going on in society, in particular in schools and being taught and shown to children. In regards to the book: Gender Queer: A Memoir. The second topic of discussion is to examine what is True Catholic Leadership and what someone should do in order to show that.

TGIF with the Two Tony’s and after Tony makes his way in due to the parking lot being re-surfaced, there is much to be ready for. For one thing, it’s Father’s Day Sunday and also Producer Nick’s 40th birthday on Saturday too, but mainly, Corpus Christi and getting ready to celebrate it more on Sunday and the Two Tony’s discuss it’s importance and meaning to all and our relationship with God.

The Two Tony’s are here and after the opening prayer, Father Anthony points out with so much going on in the world, mostly bad but good at times too, he decides to stick and stay with prayer. With that in mind, he expresses not only the importance of it, but also it’s our way to reach out to God to seek His forgiveness, but to have Him hear us in our times of suffering, as well as the beautiful words prayers have on the mysteries of life and our lives.

It’s brain wrinkling time with Father Koys today on the show. His focus this time is continuing examinations of the Supreme Court Case of Dobbs V. Jackson and to help out with this, Father Koys needs more brain wrinkling power and he is joined by Michael Kenny, President of the Pro-Life Partners Foundation. Michael offers insightful information with this particular case and opinions on what could happen with results of that case and the final decision. For one thing, Tony explains how on Sunday, everyone was concerned about Father Anthony in terms of what he was talking about and how he acted in mass. Also, Tony talks about how he is wearing sunglasses due to having an eye exam. With what Father Anthony was talking about, this continues on the front of how we are in the Spiritual Battle and makes several references, both cultural and spiritual, to give people an idea of that battle. For one thing, what the children of today are being subjective to in society.
