Father Anthony with Tony, and Cristina gather to discuss the goings on, and people in the Parish. They comment on the summerlike weather we are experiencing. Father comments on having told couples getting married this fall that the couples had made good choice in choosing to marry in cooler months and here we are in a heatwave in October with temps in the 80’s! After prayer Father chats about his time at the school this morning, passing out rosaries to the students, seeing the celebration of Hispanic Heritage and sharing encounters with family members. Father shares life details and the words of St. Therese-the Little Flower, her feast day was celebrated on October 1st. Given that October is the month of the rosary, Father speaks to this and encourages us to pray the rosary daily.
REMINDERS: Father Anthony will celebrate the Blessing of the Animals at 10am tomorrow, Saturday October 4th and the Blue Mass at 10am on Sunday October the 19th in honor of our First Responders, all are welcome. Please join us!

As we begin the month of October, the Month of the Rosary, Father Anthony leads us in praying a decade of the rosary to initiate the show. After prayer Father focuses on the Guardian Angels. He shares quotes of the Saints that encourage us to seek and invoke our Guardian Angels as he admits he does not but vows to do so going forward. The group discuss Guardian Angels, the messengers of the Lord that are warriors meant to protect us. They chat about the nine choirs of angels which each have distinct roles and authority.

Afterward he welcomes Alice Babij (pronounced Bobby) of the St Nicholas Ukrainian Cathedral. She joins Father to discuss the life, the miracles, the wonderful short life story of one of our newly canonized saints: Saint Carlo Acutis (1991-2006). Alice shares the huge impact Carlo Acutis had in his short life of 15years as captured in the book “My Highway to Heaven” by Rev Scott Haynes. Carlo Acutis’ message encourages people to remain unique to themselves. The hope is that this current day saint can be a true model for our youth today.

After the break Father refers to the words of St. Anthony the Great “A time is coming when men will go mad, and when they see someone who is not mad, they will attack him, saying “You are mad; you are not like us.” They discuss this as Father unpacks the words. Father Anthony chats about the positive impression he gathered from the Celebration of Life for Charlie Kirk. They end the show on the thought of persons not praying because they believe that if they are in grave sin that God will not hear them, but that is false. God is open to all including sinners and all should pray to Him.
