The Two Tony’s talk about all the exciting things happening at Saint Stans, such as the kids getting ready for not only Holy Week…but Spring Break. The Two Tony’s look back at the past in terms of what has happened in previous years on days during Holy Week and how different it seems to be today. They also share some readings related to this particular subject, including the raising of Lazarus.

Time once again to wrinkle your brains and to do that…we have Father Thomas Koys with us. Today, he first starts off with talking about what has happened in Springfield, IL. From this, he examines looking at the 1860’s, in particular around the time and tenure of President Abraham Lincoln. He also looks at a new House Bill going on…House Bill 1286, which will change bathrooms into an all gender, multiple occupancy in bathrooms in public, showing changes within society and tolerance of certain things. Father Koys also brings up other House Bills to show what might be changing in our society.

The Two Tony’s are here and Father Anthony talks about having the confessions from the children at Saint Stans School this morning. After the opening prayer…they discuss how not only confessions are going on, but the students will be on Spring Break soon. Since yesterday was the Solemnity of St. Joseph, they share more on this particular day and importance of it. This in turn…brings up the discussion of how we are close to God and to allow ourselves to entrust Him, even when we feel He isn’t there for us.

On today's Winds of Change, Mary and Lauretta sit down with Fr. Brendan Guilfoil of Mary, Undoer of Knots Parish on Chicago's Northwest Side, to discuss the Solemnity of St. Joseph. Fr. Brendan explains the historical devotion to St. Joseph, his symbols, his role as the foster father of Jesus, and his importance as a role model for fathers, workers, and families. Physically he’s okay and not sick, but he and Tony find themselves in a mood similar to when one feels they aren’t pronouncing words right. This again takes a turn by looking at the differences in generations and how different the younger generation is nowadays. This also brings to mind how during Lent, it’s not only a time of giving something up, but also a time of renewal for ourselves, not just in our faith in God, but in our souls.
