He discusses the historical impact of each of these Popes and how they impacted the Church: one unifying it and the other dividing it. He uses lessons from history to relate to our times today pointing out that we should learn from history and repeat the good and not the bad. Father recognizes the bittersweet joy given this is the last school award ceremony as the school will close at the end of the academic year. Father discusses the school history and the changes in the area that ultimately led to this outcome. The group agrees that despite the school closing, St Stanislaus Kostka Academy offered a good Catholic based education and the students will take that with them. After break Father offers prayer with the Litany to Our Lady. Father continues discussion regarding the Ascension started yesterday and they comment on the beauty of the mass in celebration of the Feast of the Ascension. Father closes with reading scripture from the Catechism to offer words to help us maintain proper perspective in our faith.
