Father mentions the death by suicide of a famous chef and the group chats about celebrities that have recently died by suicide and take note that they seem to have it all, money, success, jet set lives yet clearly something is missing. Father reiterates our need to focus on God to build our lives centered on Him as the world will deceive you and offer you a fleeting life. After Father prays, he turns his focus to St. Bridget of Sweden whose feast day was yesterday. (today was feast day of St. Sharbel). He discusses the history of St. Bridget; her life, her acts, her impact and legacy. Father shares that we need to be honest and speak of the Cross were required to carry as it is a disservice to deny the reality and the challenges that are daily life.

He connects his thoughts to the book and to events during the civil war in an effort to enlighten the listener with the ultimate goal being that we see how the balance between Subsidiary and Suzerainty is what we need and what Catholicism gives.
Suzerainty: political term that refers to a relationship where a powerful state has control over the foreign policy and economic relations of a weaker state (vassal), while allowing the vassal some degree of internal autonomy.

We need to remove focus on self and help others; it is in helping others that we offer healing to them and heal ourselves in the process. In praying and serving others we find healing!
