Episode # 5431 - The Two Tony’s With More On The Unrest In These Times

The Two Tony’s are back this week and after praying the Precious Blood of Jesus at the start of the show, they turn to more on the way things are these days and how many things are opening and reopening up due to Covid-19, explaining all the changes that have taken place, such as masks, face shields and screens, and on contact. This brings to mind feelings on the political decisions made to ensure safety, as well as how some follow and some don’t’. From this, it creates more anxiety and fear, with more questions asked by many, but the Two Tony’s try to provide if not answers, but comfort in these times. A change of pace, Father Anthony talks about the Feast Day of Saint Martha.

Episode # 5430 – Father Koys On The Spirituality Of Being Negative

Father Koys returns to us loyal listeners, after being away last week at a funeral and the week before, on the phone ( a very different and change of pace for the show). Today, he has many topics to discuss ad to wrinkle our brains. Starting off, Father Koys talks about having a positive attitude with all that is going on and the healthy attitude has to be a combination of positive and negative. Father Koys talks about this in terms of the environment we live in or are around and how it affects us in both areas. He also brings up one of his favorite priests, whose work focuses on the positive and negative in the world, Father Rocky. After that discussion, Father Koys turns to discuss the idea of being blessed by God and using it in terms of the rich and poor, not just in terms of money, but in terms of being rich in feeling blessed by God. He also discusses the Blood of Jesus and its connection to all our bloodlines and how it’s different from ours.

Episode # 5429 – Reflecting On Before And After The Covid-19 Pandemic

The return of the Two Tony’s this week, after Father Anthony was in Rochester and he’s doing very well and all healthy. Tony feels a little unsure of things, due to lots going on within not only the nation, but the world and that is related to what they discuss, mainly how Saint Stanislaus School will be opening soon. This brings to mind the importance of prayer and the need for prayer in this world and without it, there is no life and nothing. From this, Father Anthony says that with prayer, it helps us hear God speaking to us, as well as Saints. The Two Tony’s reflect on what it was like before and after the lockdown when the Pandemic started, as well as reflect on the results that the Pandemic has had on the entire world. The Two Tony’s also reflect on the hostility going on, not just the recent riots and looting, but also hostility to God.

Episode # 5428 – Interviews With Mary Louis Hensgebaugh and Tyler Rowley

It’s Monday with Mary FioRito again and she is very excited to be here. First off, she starts off talking about the latest and newest riots and looting in Chicago that occurred early this morning around midnight, expressing concern and offers prayers for peace and an end to the violence. On a different subject, for the first half of the show, Mary is joined by Mary Louis Hensgebaugh, founder of the Chasity Education Initiative and the discussion is on an upcoming benefit tomorrow night. Mary Louis also talks about the Chasity Education Initiative, in terms of its creation, formation, and the work it has done. For the second half of the show, Mary is joined by Tyler Rowley, author of the new book: Because of Our Fathers published by Ignatius Press. Mary discusses with Tyler of how and what influenced and inspired him to write this book. Tyler also talks about some of the essays he used when writing the book and how it affected him, in a good way. TGIF loyal listeners, but the Two Tony’s have much to discuss, especially the state that the world is in, with so many problems, complications, and situations that have caused much stress and distress in many.  Father Anthony reminds us that July is the month of the Precious Blood of Jesus and expresses that it is a universal act of redemption for all and to allow it to cleanse many of the problems that have caused the stress and distress.  This again brings to mind the importance and need for prayer in these uncertain times and Father Anthony also shares what Pope John Paul the Second has talked about in the past, relating it to what is going on in the world and in crisis.

The Two Tony’s return today and share their prayers not only for all, but for Producer Nick who went through oral surgery on Tuesday.  He’s fine and okay, and the Two Tony’s are very happy to hear he’s healing well and to be back on the show.  The main focus on the show today is on: everything that is going on in the world, with politics and all that has been said and been said by various political figures within the nation, as well as various people in the church.  Through this discussion, Father Anthony points out that the church is a place of importance and healing for our faith and bringing us closer to God and hear His word.  From this discussion, Father Anthony talks about what he read from Pope Francis and others on Independence Day.

Father Koys is here once again and today he is focused on talking about the struggles we face in these times, in particular Covid-19 and the protests going on all over the country.  To help, Father Koys brings up clips of songs from and uses the smash Broadway musical: Hamilton, which has been streaming since July 3^rd and still is a successful musical.  By talking about the musical, Father Koys uses it in terms of the riots and protests going on, providing how the songs have very deep messages, not just for Hamilton himself, but also messages that are intellectual, psychological, and other insightful areas. He also looks at the racial areas of the musical, as well as the historical and his own opinions of this hugely successful musical.

Today, they discuss how much is going on in the world, not just with Covid-19, but everything that has been happening. This includes Father Anthony talking to the principle at Saint Stanislaus Kostka School and regarding students coming back to school, as well as the fear many have felt and feel with kids going back to school. Tony shares his feelings as well, in terms of this and what it was like when he went to school too. The Two Tony’s also discuss the recent and new 9 Lockdown Rules that have gone into effect as of today for Christians. Father Anthony is also excited for Confirmation this weekend coming up. On the other hand, and possibly due to Father Anthony pinching his finger (not really) but the Two Tony’s look more into the Spiritual Battle Father Anthony has talked about.

Episode # 5422 – The Feast Day Of Saint Ignatius Of Loyola 2020

TGIF everyone and the Two Tony’s are with us for the last day in July. Today, after the opening prayer, the Two Tony’s discuss that’s it’s a good Friday and Father Anthony once again tells the lock-down rules for Christians, in case others missed it the last time. Also, tonight is the Consecration of the Precious Blood at Saint Stanislaus Kostka and the Two Tony’s invite all and talk about its importance. This in turn, goes back to talking about Life and our relationship with God. The Two Tony’s also point out how many have returned to Saint Stanislaus but still many are a bit hesitant with the virus, but they shout out for all to come back and that they are still in the thoughts and prayers of those at Saint Stanislaus. Today is also the Feast Day of Saint Ignatius of Loyola and Father Anthony shares history behind this Saint. From this, the importance of keeping our faith in God is brought up.
