Episode # 5610 - Father Koys On Confession And Conversion

It’s Wednesday and Father Koys is here with us, ready to take a look back into history and historical sights and eras, in particular the year 53 A.D. for his looking into G.K. Chesterton again, and he reminds us that Palm Sunday (as well as Easter) is coming up.  Father Koys starts off with a kind of personal topic, a little soul sharing here in terms of going to confession and how people do different things with what to confess about at certain times.  Since everyone does it differently, Father Koys explains why it’s important to confess and why you should confess what you have to confess.  On the other hand, Father Koys continues his examination of G.K. Chesterton’s works, in this case on conversion.    

Episode # 5609 – More Reflections On Society From The Two Tony’s

The Two Tony’s on Tuesday and Father Anthony arrives from a funeral before the show started and the day seems to be slow (possibly due to the snow that fell in Chicago).  They pick up the conversation on the different political and social opinions, some of which have focused their attacks on the church.  From this, the Two Tony’s reflect once again on what is going on in society and the foundation and unit of the family, which in turn relates to our relationship with God.  Father Anthony also regales us with the Gospel Readings from last Sunday’s mass.

Episode # 5608 – Women Of Change On Winds Of Change

Lauretta Froelich is back on this Monday and she is very excited.  On the show, she has two very important guests lined up.  For the first half of the show, she has on the line: Jacqueline Hayes, founder and commercial realtor of the Chicago Help Initiative.  Jacqueline discusses with Lauretta not only her organization and those that they have assisted and helped with the suppers at Catholic Charities that were held, but also her documentary: I Have A Name, which focuses on the homeless population in Chicago. Holy Week Continues and Father Anthony is joined by Producer Nick for a bit, since Tony was on his way and stuck in Chicago traffic.  They discuss how many funerals are going on this week and when Tony arrives, the Two Tony’s continue on that subject and from this, it brings up the idea of our own mortality and also brings to mind our relationship with God and His meanings for us.  From this, it brings to mind how God works through the evil, sad, and everything negative and He is always there with us and to help and guide us.  This also shows how much has changed, not just because of the Pandemic, but from other factors in life.    

 

Episode # 5603 – A Discussion On Divine Mercy Sunday And The Parental Notification Law

It’s Monday and we have with us Lauretta Froelich in the studio and (for a change of pace) Mary on the phone like guests are.  Today, the ladies discuss the day after Divine Mercy Sunday, as well as Divine Mercy Sunday itself, especially with the Pandemic getting closer to coming to an end.  They also discuss other things, such as Easter since it was last week and also the new strain of Covid-19 that’s hitting areas of the world.  They also discuss some of the things happening with the Parental Notification Law that has been talked about and its effect on many.

Episode # 5602 – The Two Tony’s On The Octave Friday 2021

TGIF with the Two Tony’s on this Octave of Easter.  Today, they continue their examination of the Octave and how it’s a collective way for all to seek the Lord and Father’s forgiveness of sins and to guide us in our lives.  They also discuss the preparations for the Divine Mercy Sunday with lots to do and expect and to experience the feeling of set free, that is free of our sins and the feeling of being redeemed by God and how Gods love will help us in and with our troubles, problems, and stress.  Father Anthony also shares the Gospel Reading he presented this morning for the Children’s Mass.    

Episode # 5601 – The Two Tony’s On The Novena Of The Devin Mercy

Thursday with the Two Tony’s, as they both rush in with the Spring Shower hitting Chicago today.  First off, they discuss how their Easters were, such as the masses held and what they did to celebrate Easter.  The topic of discussion is the Novena of the Devin Mercy that was expressed to be prayed by Jesus himself and explain the history behind that, as well as the importance of it, especially during this time.  They also point out how it’s necessary for everyone in this years Easter Season and how important it is now, with the world in the state that it’s in and when we seek the Lord’s forgiveness and mercy for our sins.  Since it’s Easter Thursday, the Seventh Day in this, Father Anthony talks about the specifics not only on this day, but the Octave’s other days too.
