After the opening prayer and Tony’s arrival, Father Anthony shares a letter that broke his heart after reading it and regards the vaccines in terms of getting it and also those who choose not to get it due to religious beliefs or health concerns which make them or qualify them to be exempt. Today's Monday with Mary and Lauretta features a very special guest: author Matt Rosenberg. The son of the late radio show (Extension 720) host Milt Rosenberg, Matt joins Mary and Lauretta to discuss his new book, "What's Next Chicago? Notes of a Pissed-Off Native Son." In a straightforward, honest style reminiscent of his father's approach to tackling sensitive issues, Matt lays out his case for the failure of the city's institutions to care for and empower its citizens and the resulting disintegration of the city's fabric, increased crime, and falling population as residents flee for safer and better-run cities. Due to scheduling conflicts and Father Anthony being in Rochester this week, this is a re-air from September 21st. It will officially air tomorrow, October 19th, 2021 on WNDZ AM 750. Thank you.
The Two Tony’s are here and Producer Nick reminds them Fall is almost here, since he is wearing his signature pumpkin hat (all in fun). After the opening prayer, they discuss more on the Covid-19 vaccines and what the church is saying in terms of those who have to be fully vaccinated in order to attend mass, funerals, and weddings. The Two Tony’s share their feelings on not only the pandemic, but also on what the church is saying for fully vaccinated people. This also brings to mind all the factors in terms of how we have been combating the virus, such as the booster shots, more testing done, and those who choose to be or not to be vaccinated and how something feels off with some of this, which once again raises the questions of are we are war and/or are we in a battle with this virus?

The Two Tony’s are here and Father Anthony is excited to discuss the wonderful result of the Our Lady’s Triangle Procession that was conducted and occurred yesterday. He points out many of the people who arrived, as well as its purpose and the reason for the procession, one to pray for peace in the city of Chicago. After that discussion, they bring to mind the struggles the church is and has been going through, not just in the present, but in the past and how in the darkness and with the evil, good and light will prevail.
