Lauretta host today on a Friday in Father Anthony’s absence.  Lauretta welcomes as her guest, Katie Newsham, friend of the founder of Misericordia: Sister Rosemary Connelly, RSM with the Sisters of Mercy.  Katie tells us about Sister Rosemary’s work and dedication to children with disabilities.  She highlights how she started the organization and how it has grown since then-it is an amazing organization.  They have an annual Candy Day sale around the last week of April (adding online sales until July). Note that the Christmas Holiday offers them the greatest opportunity for fundraising from handmade gifts for purchase at their giftshop to their well-known famous Christmas Brunches (tickets sell out by September).  The Misericordia residents create and work and serve all aspects of these brunches.  Misericordia has a gift shop and a bakery with amazing treats which just added a drive through option (open 7 days a week) Check it out NOW!!
